Volunteers are truly priceless to this outreach to the poor.Come see how your involvement can make a difference today!To sign up for a volunteer event with us either as an individual or as a group, scroll down to the date on which you would like to volunteer (or use the small calendar on the far left of this screen), then click the large SIGN UP button to the left of the date. If you have used the system before, you will be asked for your username and password. If you have not used the system before, click the 'Register' button to complete a user profile and then you may proceed with registration. In many cases, the buttons to 'Register for This Event' and then to confirm your registration are located at the BOTTOM of the screen so don't forget to scroll down to the bottom of a page. If you are registering as a group, indicate the number of guests you are bringing including yourself.
To cancel an event you have registered for, click 'Sign in' in the upper right corner and log in with your username and password. Then click the large CANCEL button to the left of the date you need to cancel.

“Bags of Love” was developed to reach out into the Oakland families in need of food and encouragement. Volunteers come on Saturday mornings, take the prepared bags of food to registered families and offer them prayer. With this program we need no more than 6-8 volunteers each Saturday and require registration of groups.
Volunteers bring bags of food and hygiene items to deliver to the people who live in the low income housing around our mission.
Duties : Sort, pack, and store donated food and clothing for distribution, inventory control and management,pantry and clothing shop organization.
Requirements: On the job training provided.
We have opportunities for volunteers to: serve food to the homeless, to help distribute clothes and to participate in our foot-washing ministry.

Prayer & Trash Pickup Walks
CityTeam is working in some of the neediest neighborhoods with many strongholds that are in desperate need of your prayer support [Ephesians 6:12]. We will give a short orientation and then divide you into teams of 2-3 to pick up trash while you pray for that neighborhood and look for opportunities to interact with people from that neighborhood.
How Many Volunteers: We need a minimum of 3 volunteers per shift.
When: Every 1st & 3rd Saturday from 9:30am-12pm.
Where: Meet at Family & Youth Outreach, 1297 N. 13th St, San Jose, CA 95112.
What to Bring: A pair of gloves and a trash bag if possible. (CityTeam will provide if you don’t have).
